Russian authorities have arrested 4 Muslim women – all young mothers – for membership of Hizb ut-Tahrir on Thursday 24 March 2016.
The sisters were arrested in Tatarstan by Russian authorities. All four sisters have babies or young children and could face life imprisonment for being part of Hizb ut-Tahrir. At least one of them has been presented in court (image in this article) to date, but her future is yet to be decided. This comes days after it was confirmed that in one raid last year, Russia arrested 52 members of Hizb ut-Tahrir.
