The Muslims have risen, causing political shockwaves the world over. The ‘Arab Spring’ which started in Tunisia and spread like a wildfire around the Middle East and North Africa has led to previously unfathomable outcomes. It has opened the way for immense potential changes. With decades-old tyrants giving way to ‘moderate Islamists’ in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya, with the struggle for an alternative regime in Syria reaching a climax as the inevitable fall of the Assad regime nears, all eyes are on the Muslim world.
What will happen next? Where will this all lead? What is our role? What guidance does Islam provide with respect to what is going on?
In this volatile and fast changing political climate, Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia will convene its major annual conference to address these uprisings, what the potential results are, the method for true Islamic change and the false ideas and approaches that will lead only to failure. Hizb ut-Tahrir Australia invites you to join us in not only looking at the Muslims world of today, but in casting our eyes forward and looking towards the Muslim world of tomorrow under the shade of Islam insha Allah.
