It is no coincidence most of the refugees risking their lives to escape countries subject to the West’s political, economic and military intervention.”
“Millions of lives have been ravaged by Australia’s foreign policy abroad, and the woeful treatment of refugees in this country is but a natural reflection of the colonialist mindset embedded in the foreign and domestic policies of policymakers, from both sides of politics. Australia’s policymakers stand condemned not just in their treatment of refugees, but also for their perpetuation of policies that give rise to the conditions that force people to become refugees.”
