The Deceitful Western Democracies are in a Mad Dash to Devour the Wealth of Myanmar's Buddhists and Muslims, while Buddhist Extremists are Busy Killing the Muslims and Burning their Homes

The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir has launched an international campaign to expose four crimes:

First: The Muslim Rohingyas have been stripped of citizenship since 1982 and require permission to travel or marry, are forbidden from owning land, property or businesses. They have experienced, since the end of October 2012, a resurgence of attacks. To date this year, around 100,000 have been made homeless and are living in squalid refugee camps. Untold numbers have been killed.

London UK, 11th August 2012 – Hundreds of Muslims gathered at the Bangladesh High Commission in London to protest against Sheikh Hasina’s goverment’s closure of the Bangladesh border to Rohingya Muslims fleeing brutal
persecution in Burma (Myanmar). The demonstration was organised by Hizb ut-Tahrir in Britain.

In the first days of the blessed month of Ramadan, and after six successive weeks of the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Muslims in Myanmar, which includes the systematic operations of slaughtering and expulsion, in the face of treacherous international silence, and in the deliberate absence of the Arab and international media, the scene looked to be a worldwide collusion against the Muslims of Myanmar, rather it looked a conspiracy to annihilate their presence there. Even the statements of Amnesty International which were published yesterday on Thursday corresponding to 19/7/2012 regarding what is happening there, attained no media coverage!

As the world's attention is focused on the Arab spring sweeping across the Islamic World, toppling dictator after dictator, liberating the Muslims from decades of tyranny and oppression, in the far east, savagery against our Muslim brothers and sisters knows no bounds. Where once the Buddhist majority protested against their suppression by the military junta of Burma, they are now the tyrant oppressors burning Muslims alive in their homes and buses. Just because they are Muslims! How are they to fast, pray and complete their entire Islamic obligations under such circumstances?

[SN313] Jumlah penduduk Burma melebihi 50 juta dan 20% daripadanya adalah kaum Muslimin  yang terfokus di sekitar ibu negaranya Yangon, bandar Mandalay dan di wilayah Arakan. 70% penduduk Burma beragama Buddha dan selebihnya merupakan penganut Hindu, Kristian dan lain-lain agama. Bagaimanapun, Burma hanya mengiktiraf lebih kurang 4% penduduk Muslim sahaja dan selebihnya dianggap sebagai pendatang asing. Oleh itu, Burma berusaha untuk mengusir orang-orang Islam ini, tidak memberikan mereka status warganegara dan tidak mengiktiraf apa jua hak ke atas mereka. Kerana itu, kaum kaum Muslimin di Burma sentiasa terdedah kepada serangan dari puak Buddha yang disokong oleh jentera kerajaan hingga ke tahap pembunuhan dan pengusiran.
