BirminghamA large number of delegates attended Hizb ut-Tahrir Britain's national Conference: The Struggle for ISLAM and the call for Khilafah in Birmingham today [2nd August 2009]. A week earlier, the London conference was also attended by thousands.

The London and Birmingham Khilafah (Caliphate) conferences followed a month long series of conferences in Lebanon, Kuwait, Gaza, Sudan, Tanzania, Turkey, Pakistan, Bangladesh, US and Australia including a landmark gathering in Indonesia of thousands of leading scholars supporting the re establishment of the Khilafah and addressed by the global leader, Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, Sheikh Ata abu Rashta.
