Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki Moon is visiting Bangladesh with an imperialist political agenda

In a press release issued today he said that imperialist institution United Nations secretary general's visit to Bangladesh before the scheduled election in December is politically motivated. When the US attacked Iraq and Afghanistan and killed Muslim men and women, the United Nations was not only silent, it was rather supportive of the massacre. In his statement Mohiuddin Ahmed said Barak Obama’s slogan for change is a lie. The capitalist and imperialist policies of the US will not change. Obama will continue the crusade against the Muslim Ummah launched by George W Bush. He will not end the US occupation of Muslim lands. Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir, in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed in a press statement issued today strongly condemned the arrests of ten party members and activists in Rajshahi who were arrested today and demanded their immediate release. The members and activists of the party were arrested from Rajshahi press club including Professor of Dhaka University Dr Syed Golam Mowla, Senior Lecturer of South East University Engineer Ahmed Jamal Iqbal, and Assistant Professor of MIST Mamunur Rashid Ansari who went from Dhaka to speak at a press conference organized by the party. Local police stopped the proceedings of the press conference and police in plain cloths arrested all the party members and activists present at the venue without citing any reason.
