Wassim Doureihi interview on ABC’s Lateline with Emma Alberici, 08 Oct 2014 about ISIS and western foreign policy. Not much of an interview in the end with Emma hounding Wassim and dictating the sorts of answers he can and cannot give. Wassim does well to try to change the focus on the discussion to where it should be.
This is a classic example of how critique of western foreign policy is deflected while the pretense to be concerned about violence and terrorism is maintained. The fact is that anyone concerned about violence and terrorism would first begin by shining light on western foreign policy which is the greatest cause of violence and terror around the world.
